Sometimes when we feel panicked or stressed or agitated we are allowing our thoughts to control our emotions and telling our brain some naughty little untruths!

So this is a mini exercise for you to calm your nervous system and bring yourself back into the present moment. Look at the images below and ask your self the questions listed below. Take time to look at the images and respond with your answer out loud or in your head if you are not in a position to talk.

Take 5 relaxing minutes and just be.

Stop, take 3 deep, calming breathes.

If you were here in this space, this place,

  • What would you hear?
  • What would you see aorund you?
  • What would you feel or sense?
  • What could you touch?
  • What could you taste?

Try and find 3 to 5 answers for each question.

You can choose to do this exercise with all the images or just one or two.

Take all the time you need to relax and just be.
